Upate:

This weekend I took part in the Cheshire ring 102 mile ultramarathon, a circular loop from media city and back along canal paths.

This is a goal I had since starting running in Covid. I decided to do this for the Bobby Colleran Foundation who do invaluable work for children’s bereavement counselling and road safety awareness. I have raised over £2000 for them.

The first 48 miles went as planned and were pretty normal. Seeing my family and friends was exactly what I needed!! Hannah, Jessica and Charlie helped me through the next 22 miles as darkness set in.

Then it was @christian156367 turn who drove an hour just to run 19 miles with me through the night..

I was hallucinating, taking four-minute naps in the dirt and questioning how I was going to keep moving. I couldn’t have done it without you mate. Legend.

At mile 89 I found out I was 12 minutes outside the cutoff meaning no medal but I could continue to race to the end so that’s what I did.

@kjtimmo met me here after initially agreeing to run 4 miles with me to running the final 14! Hardest thing I’ve done. Thank god for that because I struggled so much on that stretch. You have taught me self belief. Could not have got there without you.

I finished in Manchester at 1pm on Sunday after 31 hours of running. For Bobby. 💙

My support crew, sponsors, family and friends..You got me to that finish.

And to everyone who donates and shares or supports the @bobbycollerantrust thankyou. Please take a look at what they do.

To my daughters, Everly and Romy: do the hard things. They are more possible than you’d ever imagine.

To @libby_murphyxo thank you for always being my rock. My constant support and my biggest champion. I love you more than you know. I promise no more. (Unless…)

To everyone else: that voice that might be telling you to stop..ignore it and it might just turn around and talk you through an ultra marathon.
