The Bobby Colleran Trust Launches Road Safety Ambassador Programme with Merseyside Police Mini Police

The Bobby Colleran Trust is delighted to be working alongside Merseyside Police's Mini Police programme on an exciting new initiative that puts children at the heart of road safety education.

Our Road Safety Ambassador Programme goes beyond traditional road safety lessons. Using our Bobby Road Safety Education Pack, children will learn essential road safety skills before returning to their schools to deliver presentations and share potentially lifesaving messages with their fellow pupils.

This children-teaching-children approach not only reinforces important road safety messages but also builds confidence, develops communication and leadership skills, and encourages young people to take responsibility for the safety of themselves and others.

We recently welcomed our first group of Mini Police pupils from Mab Lane School to Bobby's Base, where their enthusiasm, confidence and willingness to get involved were fantastic.

We can't wait to hear feedback from the school and see the impact our young ambassadors have when they deliver their presentations.

Our ambition is to roll out this programme across Merseyside, creating a growing network of young Road Safety Ambassadors who can help make our roads and school communities safer.

Children teaching children. Sharing knowledge. Saving lives.
